We worked hard (sweat dripping from our forehead) to find the best summer camps in 2012. There are fantastic options for kids: they can learn to row, dance, perfect a second language or improve their first, paint, or just make new friends.
Since the list is vast, we are posting our recommendations for Arts and Crafts Camps first and will later follow up with others.
Miami Children Museum’s Summer Camp: 980 Macarthur Causeway, Watson Island, Miami, Fl – 305-373-5437 Ext. 112
Why: Kids take part in exciting museum activities and learn arts and crafts. This camp can jump start their inner Picasso.
Ages: 3 – 11 – Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Miami Science Museum’s Summer Camp: 3280 S. Miami Ave, Miami, Fl – 305-646-4222
Why: Perfecto for the explorer. Ecology, rocketry, sailing, robotics, astronomy, drama, field trips, and dinosaurs are some of the exciting topics offered for campers’ summertime fun.
Ages: 4 – 14 – Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

Why: Conveniently and strategically located across from Bal Harbor Shops (amazing). The Bal Harbor Beach Camp by Miami Children’s Museum offers kids the chance to explore the ocean depths through arts and games.
